But in those quiet moments you realize that deep down you still feel the hole in your heart that you were hoping food would fill, just this once. The thought flashes through your mind that your meal is a safe-haven; after all, having additional layers protects you from others. And before those thoughts and the shame strike, you relish in a moment of pleasure. Yesterday looked like this, too. Or at least you think it did; sometimes it's hard to remember.
